Tacet reads your Spaces, Favorites, pinned tabs and folders straight from Arc and rebuilds them as tab groups and pinned tabs, with your history, bookmarks and sign-ins. Vertical tabs, a command bar, split view and an assistant that can run on your Mac are already there.
Open the .dmg and drag Tacet to Applications. It's free and open source, for macOS 14 or later.
The setup lists the browsers on your Mac: pick Arc and keep “Arc Spaces and pinned tabs” ticked. Later, use File › Import from Another Browser.
When macOS asks about “Arc Safe Storage”, choose Allow to keep your sign-ins. Your Spaces appear as folded tab groups that load only when you open them.

Yes. Tacet reads Arc's files on your Mac, and Arc may remove them once it stops working. Importing now is safest; you can keep using Arc until then.
No. Imported tabs wait folded in their groups and load only when you click them, so a big sidebar doesn't slow your Mac down.
No, on WebKit, the engine of Safari. Sites behave as they do in Safari, with its speed and battery life. Chrome extensions are supported on macOS 15.4 or later, as are Safari and Firefox ones.
Nothing. Tacet is free and open source under the GPL-3.0, has no accounts and no analytics, and is made by one person. The code is on GitHub.
Tacet isn't notarized by Apple yet. The download is fine: run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Tacet.app once in Terminal, then open it normally.
